NICHE Kintsugi and Mini Kintsugi Projects

NICHE Kintsugi and Mini Kintsugi Projects

Using the metaphor of ‘Kintsugi’1 NICHE are funding both Kintsugi and Mini Kintsugi projects.

Underpinning each of the funded projects will be a focus on developing Embedded Research2 or Service Improvement Evaluation drawing on the key principles of building:

Research capacity across the Norfolk and Waveney ICS and within/ across participating organisations.
Research capability as part of workforce development and transformation underpinned by Embedded Research.
Research confidence of those leading and participating in the Programmes creating a ‘ripple effect’ enabling growth and ongoing development.

These three principals have the potential to generate and use evidence for patient benefit, contribute to safe, quality driven care whilst impacting positively on workforce recruitment and retention3. Linking to pre-existing or new improvement programmes or projects, these funding opportunities will help support embedded development and transformation focussing on the four NICHE themes:

1. Improving health inequalities across rural and coastal communities.
2. Workforce development and transformation.
3. System collaboration and transformation through effective partnership working.
4. Wellbeing and sustainability.
