Congratulations on your offer to study at UEA, we can't wait to meet you!
From interactive subject sessions to meeting future best friends, our Applicant Days are an exclusive event for offer holders to visit us and experience what it might be like to study here. You'll get to meet lecturers, spend time with current students from your subject area, explore our campus and, if you want to live on campus, some of our accommodation options. Most importantly, you'll also get to meet other UEA offer holders - your potential future friends!
Our Applicant Days start at the end of January and run until May. Invitations will be emailed to you a few days after your offer, starting in early December, so you can choose which date you would like to attend.
When are applicant days?
Applicant Days typically run from January until early May and are events exclusively for offer-holders. If you have an offer to study with us in 2023 we will get in touch with you to let you know more about your Applicant Day. Don't worry if you haven't been to visit us yet, you can come to one of our Campus Tours. For future offer holders, you will be invited to attend once you receive an offer from us.
What happens during an Applicant Day?
The Applicant Days are split into subject sessions and optional activities. If you attend an Applicant Day on a Wednesday, your optional activities will take place first, followed by your subject activities. If you attend an Applicant Day on a Saturday you will join your subject activities first, followed by the optional activities.
Activities in subject sessions vary, you can see a sample programme on our website and you’ll be given a programme with the specific details when you check in with us on the day.
The optional activities section of the day includes tours and talks, and you can choose what you would like to do on the day. You can also use this time to explore our campus by yourself or if you prefer you can use the free bus ticket we offer to visit Norwich.
One of our students, Lia, explains below what to expect from your Applicant Day. You can also check out Lia's top tips for making the most out of your Applicant Day on her student blog.

Your personalised applicant hub
As well as your invite to your Applicant Day on campus, you'll receive a link to access your personalised Applicant Hub, our virtual and on-demand resource. Find out more about a day in the life of a student from your subject, discover what life could be like at UEA and take the time to explore campus and Norwich with our videos and interactive map. This Hub is personal to you so we've emailed you a unique link to access it. If you can't find the link, don't worry, just email email@example.com and we'll resend it.
There are two sections to the Applicant Day; the subject sessions and the optional activities. If you have already visited UEA, you may want to prioritise attending the subject sessions over the optional activities.
The optional activities include tours of campus, accommodation and other facilities and the Life at UEA talk, which will give you a flavour for life at UEA, presented by lecturers and current students.
We will email you with details of options for travelling to the Applicant Day. Car parking locations will vary depending on the date – parking on campus can be limited so you may be directed to Costessey Park and Ride.
Blue badge parking is available on campus, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
