Campus tours give you the opportunity to explore our campus and accommodation in small groups, so the experience can be tailored to you. Tours are run by current students, so you can ask questions and get real insight into what it's like to study at UEA. 

 

2023 Campus Tours dates 

Our campus tours will be on the following dates, starting between 11.30am and 12:15pm: 

  • Friday 5 May 

  • Wednesday 17 May 

  • Tuesday 30 May - Campus Tours Extra

  • Wednesday 7 June

 

Campus Tours Extra runs from 11:30am - 1:30pm and will have representatives from admissions, accommodation, study abroad and student support. We will also have a Higher Education Adviser on hand to discuss applying and finance, and both undergraduate and postgraduate student ambassadors.

Note that our campus tours do not normally include medical teaching facilities in the Edith Cavell Building or (ECB) or Bob Champion Research and Education Building (BCRE). However we can arrange this if you let us know in advance, just email us at recruitmentevents@uea.ac.uk

 

Self-guided tours

If you would like to visit campus at another time and have a wander at your own pace, you also can also use our self-guided campus tour which suggests a route around campus to see a wide range of teaching buildings, facilities and accommodation.

Frequently Asked Questions 

Tours are run by our current students. When you arrive, we will check you in and allocate one student to deliver your tour. 

Your  student ambassador will take you around campus to see our central facilities, teaching buildings for the subjects you're interested in and our student accommodation blocks. Your tour will be in a small group so we can tailor the experience to what you would like to see.

Campus tours last approximately  60 minutes but there is no set time limit. As campus tours are taken in small groups, what you see and how long it takes can be tailored to you. 

Our campus tours start between 11:30am and 12:15pm. When you book on to a campus tour we will email you with instructions on what to do when your arrive. 

You can park on campus, in our main car park, for free during Campus Tours. Please take a yellow token from the barrier gate and one of our Events Teams will validate it for you. 

You are more than welcome to bring guests with you. If you are bringing children, please ensure they are accompanied by an appropriate adult who carries full responsibility for the child during the visit.

Occasionally we run Campus Tours Extra, where we have information stands with representatives from other areas such as admissions, accommodation, student support and study abroad. We will also have a Higher Education Adviser on hand to discuss applying and finance, as well as student ambassadors. These events will be clearly marked as Campus Tours Extra and we'll let you know exactly what will be available on the day. 

If you are not able to attend one of our events, you can take our self-guided tour and explore the campus in your own time.

A Campus Tour is a more personalised experience, where you can take a look around the campus and accommodation in a small group with one of our student ambassadors. There is not usually any subject-related activities on a Campus Tour. 

If you are a teacher and would like to bring a group of students to the Open Day, please email us at recruitmentevents@uea.ac.uk with the following information:

  • Name and address of your school of college

  • Number of students who would like to attend each departmental talk

  • Expected arrival and departure times
