The University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès was founded in the 13th century. It has around 23,000 students, more than half of whom are female. There are approximately 3,600 international students representing 138 nationalities. Toulouse welcomes around 170 Erasmus students each year. Toulouse has five faculties: History, art and archaeology, Foreign languages, literatures and civilisations, ‘Lettres’, philosophy and music, Psychology, and Sciences.
