WHY CHOOSE OTAGO
The University of Otago was founded in 1869 and is New Zealand’s oldest university. Located in the city of Dunedin on the South Island, the city is considered as one of the four main cities for historic, cultural and geographic reasons. The size of the city allows it to feel much larger with a wide range of social, cultural and sporting activities. However, it is small enough to be friendly, uncrowded and safe.
The Recreation centre at the university offers good sports facilities on campus as well as trips and courses, from astronomy to surfing or paddle boarding. There are also a wide range of clubs, from archery to debating. The student association is prominent on campus and runs a student newspaper and radio station.
