Why choose Tilburg?

The city of Tilburg is famous for its annual 10-day funfair which takes place each July. The Monday during the funfair is called "Roze Maandag" (Pink Monday) and is primarily LGBT-oriented.

The university is considered specialist in the social sciences, ranking particularly high globally in Business Administration, Finance, Management and Law.

Tilburg is home to an outstanding museum of Modern Art, De Pont, which includes works from renowned artists such as Ai Weiwei, Anish Kapoor and Richard Serra.

Tilburg University is ranked 201-250th in the THE World Rankings 2019 and has a strong reputation in business, law and economics, including a #1 ranking in the Netherlands for Law. The institution is still thought of as a Catholic university, despite dropping the religious reference from its name. Around 15% of the student population is international, and continues to steadily increase. Among the notable alumni are former Dutch ministers of foreign affairs and former Dutch prime ministers.
