Norway - Oslo Metropolitan University, Oslo

Oslo Metropolitan university

Norway’s most urban university campus

Why choose OSLOMET?

OsloMet was established in 2018 following a merger, and is the second youngest university in Norway.

The main campus in Oslo has plenty of architecture to admire, and consists of a combination of modern, glass buildings and beautiful old brick buildings -  the northern part of campus is located on the grounds of an old brewery that opened in the 1850s!

Oslo is consistently ranked in lists of the most liveable cities in the world.

Further information

OsloMet is an urban university with a diverse academic profile and a clear international orientation. OsloMet is forward-thinking and committed to adopting new technologies and innovative solutions that improve the way the university is run. Most of the university is located in the city centre of Oslo along the Pilestredet street, with subsidiary campuses in Sandvika and Kjeller in Akershus. The Pilestredet campus is surrounded by cafes for reading or meeting friends and restaurants where you can buy lunch at student-friendly prices. All the main attractions of downtown Oslo—including shopping, parks, bars and the Oslo fjord—are just a short walk or tram ride away. Like many urban campuses, Pilestredet is compact. You can walk from one end of campus to the other in about ten minutes. All across campus, you will find cafeterias, libraries, student pubs, gyms and even a climbing wall.
