The International Foundation prepares you for direct entry to Year 1 of an undergraduate degree, in a range of subjects ranging from Accounting and Finance to History of Art at UEA. What will I study?
All students complete modules tailored to your chosen degree subjects.
- Academic English and Study Skills
- Foundation Mathematics
- Introduction to Business
- Professional and Communication Skills
- Society and Culture
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed in each module. Assessment is designed to help you build on your success and meet the requirements for entry to the first year of a degree. Grades from the International Foundation programme do not count towards the final degree but they help the University assess your abilities in your chosen field of study.
You are assessed by a combination of examination and course work, which may include:
- group and individual research projects
- oral presentations
- seminar discussions
- class tests
- problem solving exercises
English language requirements: IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 in Writing and Reading and 4.5 in all other subskills) or equivalent.
Age requirements: 16 years and above.
All students must be 16 years old by the time they start their INTO UEA course and turn 17 years old by 15 September of the year they start their degree at UEA.
Academic requirements: Completion of 12 years of schooling (or the local equivalent to meet the same standard) with good grades.
Standard course fees are £17,995.
There are two Standard Course start dates. The courses both last 3 terms. Term dates are:
