Find out moreThe course is accredited by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), the leading professional body for marketers worldwide.
In your first semester, you’ll gain a firm foundation in marketing and key areas of business. You’ll explore marketing theory and examine a range of established and emerging models. From traditional print to digital platforms and evolving channels such as social media, you’ll build practical expertise across the full marketing landscape.
Unlike many Master’s programmes where the third semester is dedicated solely to independent study, our MSc in Marketing and Management offers the opportunity to broaden your expertise through a range of dynamic business modules.
Across all modules, your learning is firmly grounded in the real world. You’ll analyse the strategic marketing plans of established organisations, challenging existing approaches and identifying how strategies could be adapted or improved across different contexts. Case studies take a global perspective, featuring international businesses such as Lenovo, Singapore Airlines, BMW, and Vinted.
This global outlook ensures you graduate ready to excel internationally, whether that means returning home with enhanced expertise, working with international clients, or pursuing a role within a multinational organisation.
Whilst the University will make every effort to offer the modules listed, changes may sometimes be made arising from the annual monitoring, review and update of modules. Where this activity leads to significant (but not minor) changes to programmes and their constituent modules, the University will endeavour to consult with students and others. It is also possible that the University may not be able to offer a module for reasons outside of its control, such as the illness of a member of staff. In some cases optional modules can have limited places available and so you may be asked to make additional module choices in the event you do not gain a place on your first choice. Where this is the case, the University will inform students.
You’ll benefit from research-led, industry-relevant teaching delivered by lecturers, academics, and guest speakers engaged in cutting-edge research and real-world business practice.
Learning takes place through a blend of lectures, seminars, group work, presentations, case analysis, and independent study, delivered both face-to-face and online. The course combines synchronous and asynchronous activities to provide flexibility and depth. Lectures are highly interactive, featuring Q&A sessions, group tasks, learning technologies, live polls, games, and multimedia content.
Seminars give you the opportunity to collaborate on practical tasks designed to enhance engagement, strengthen teamwork, and build communication skills. You might develop a strategic marketing plan or apply the stages of the marketing research process to real business scenarios.
Throughout your studies, the emphasis is not only on applying key marketing and management theories, but on evaluating them critically within a modern, global context.
During the course your knowledge is assessed using a broad range of assessment methods. This includes coursework, group projectsand presentations. You’ll be able to submit formative and summative work for assessment, and receive feedback on your work to help you identify areas for improvement and areas of strength.
