Our online hub
Our online careers portal, MyCareerCentral (login required), is exclusively for UEA students and apprentices. It's a hub that contains:
Job vacancies, quality checked by the CareerCentral team to ensure they meet our vacancy policy requirements. From student jobs, paid internships, volunteering positions and graduate level roles, you'll find a host of opportunities to apply for.
A careers events calendar, detailing all UEA careers fairs, skills sessions and talks and a range of external employability events, connecting you with employers and job opportunities.
A suite of online resources that you can access whenever you need. They range from creating outstanding CVs, acing an application and standing out at interview to specific topics around disability and careers, working in the UK as an international student and choosing and applying for postgraduate study.

Appointments with professional careers advisers, tailored to your individual situation, whether you don't know where to start or you have a plan but need some advice. We can have a quick chat, a detailed discussion or even give you a mock interview to prepare for a role.
Internships to help you gain industry experience and try out different types of roles, building more skills onto your CV.
The UEA Award, designed to help you reflect on your academic and extra-curricular achievements, and translate the things you've done into a shining CV. The Award has four levels to complete and an help you talk about your experiences at application and interview, in a way that employers value.
Support with placement years and semesters, from finding your work placement to getting 'work ready,' our Placements Team are on hand to help you navigate your placement.
Mentoring scheme, an invaluable chance to gain insight from someone who works in your sector of interest. A mentor can share real insider knowledge about how to get into specific roles and what it's really like to work in a specific industry. It's a great way to connect and network, opening up opportunities for your future career.
Exclusive support for recent graduates
If you've graduated in the past three years, you still have access to UEA's career service. Our graduate careers portal, GradCentral (login required), is exclusively for UEA graduates. Whether you're still looking for your dream graduate job, or you want to explore another career direction after starting out, you can talk to a professional careers adviser, attend and of our careers events and access all of our resources, plus have access to our dedicated, online graduate jobs board.

CareerCentral is an independent service, exclusively for UEA students, apprentices and recent graduates. We're not part of any wider careers service and we work on behalf of and for the benefit of UEA students.
We are an active member of the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS) and we've successfully secured the AGCAS Membership Quality Standard. The AGCAS Member Code of Ethics underpins the work that we do.
Our mission is to provide impartial, inclusive and impactful careers education, information, advice and guidance. We don't advocate any particular career choice or endorse any sector, organisation or type of role. We advocate for student choice.
We believe in freedom of speech, encouraging open and peaceful dialogue about the issues that matter to our students, in line with the general regulations for students.
