CAREERS, EMPLOYABILITY AND VOLUNTEERING
UEA can help you build the future you want. Our Careers Service provides opportunities and support throughout your time with us, to ensure you leave with a rich university experience, prepared for the workplace or further study.
We can help you to explore whether further study is for you and your future, and advise on how and when to apply. If you choose to stay right where you are and pursue further study here at UEA, there's plenty of support and scholarships available.
Our team of professionally trained careers advisers can support you whether you have a few or no career ideas. Using our guidance services, you can discuss options, overcome obstacles, present yourself to employers and find opportunities.
Work experience and internships
Our Careers Service website advertises a wealth of part-time, vacation, voluntary and graduate opportunities, to help you gain valuable experience in a sector that interests you, and our paid Internship Programmes means you can boost your employability while you earn. We also have the student ambassador scheme which students have the chance to participate in a wide range of activities and projects on and off campus.
Our annual programme of more than 250 events includes careers fairs, alumni events and employer presentations; as well as skills workshops and training, enterprise support and career management sessions on topics such as CVs, work experience, networking and coaching.
For all our students there are lots of ways of getting involved at UEA that can help your career prospects when you graduate, whether you wish to work in the UK or elsewhere. Find about more about working in the UK.
