Library

From physical books to e-resources, find everything you need to support your studies.

A well-stocked library with over 800,000 books and journals on its shelves. You’ll also find extensive collections of specialist materials, not to mention a vast database of e-resources. Make use of the group study zones or rooms, the PCs or the bookable individual study spaces if you need to get your head down.

CareerCentral

CareerCentral works in partnership with thousands of organisations to ensure students experience different working environments.

CareerCentral provides students with careers advice and guidance to help develop their professional skills, increase confidence and to prepare students for work. They work closely with the different departments and schools to make sure their offering is aligned with a student’s degree discipline. CareerCentral is here to provide support to students at every stage of their studies, not just with finding a graduate job.

Medical Centre

Healthcare and support from a friendly team, when you need it.

When you arrive as a new student you can register with the Medical Centre on their website. It’s quick, easy and will only take five minutes. Book routine appointments and contact them for emergency care. There’s also an occupational health team here. You have to register separately with the medical practice and the dental practice.

Dental Practice

NHS dental treatment for students, staff and their families.

The dental practice is located on campus and provides NHS dental care. Register with your University Campus Card and NHS medical number. It offers routine appointments as well as emergency dental treatment. You have to register separately with the dental practice and the medical practice.

Shop at UEA

A supermarket for all your essentials, with a Fairtrade and ethical spin.

Whether you need a quick dinner or you’re out of shampoo, you’ll find what you need here. The supermarket stocks a good selection of items, including fresh and frozen food, household and healthcare products. There’s also an in-house bakery – great for a quick snack. It strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and profits are invested back into services.

Bike Shop (Dr Bike)

Get cycling with help from the team at Dr Bike.

Whether you’re looking for a bike or your bicycle needs some TLC, this is the place to go. The team provides free advice, oil and minor adjustments. There are also repair slots if your wheels need more work. You can pick up essential cycling equipment too. It’s all run by the not-for-profit Norwich Bicycle Care Co-operative.

Hairstream is a bespoke Barbers and Ladies Salon for students and staff in the heart of UEA. Our team have created a fantastic, high-end space within a vintage 1962 Airstream. To make an appointment, simply visit our website, choose book online and then pick the required service. All prices shown are discounted for students and staff.

Our Barbers offer anything from skin fades and full scissor cuts, to beard trims and shape ups. Our Salon offers washes, cuts, blow dry’s, full colour, foils, consultation advice and much more.

Faith Centre

A quiet space for reflection, worship or conversation between people of all faiths or none.

Join this welcoming community, regardless of your beliefs. The Faith Centre is a spiritual space with quiet rooms for prayer, a large worship room for religious services, and a common room for chats and cups of tea. Need to talk? The chaplain is there to listen with a sympathetic and confidential ear.

Nursery

Learning through play: a full day care service for your little ones.

The on-campus nursery provides care for babies and children from three months until starting school. It was rated ‘Outstanding’ in its latest Ofsted inspection. Whether you’re studying or working at UEA, the nursery will support your family and give your child the best start in life. It has a Forest School and runs activities ranging from music to cooking.

Launderette

No excuse for piles of dirty washing in your room.

We all know the student cliché, taking a bag full of dirty laundry home in the holidays. No excuses for that here! Wear clean clothes all semester by using the launderettes. There are four dotted across the campus. Just get a laundry card, top it up and you’re good to go. You may need a campus card for evening access.

Music Centre

Making and performing music to bring out your inner musician.

Love singing or playing an instrument? Want to learn how to make music? Join one of the four ensembles. Get involved in the groups run by the Music Society. Find a music tutor. Or make use of the practice rooms. You can also attend one of the many concerts hosted throughout the year.

Having a Post Office on campus is handier than you might think. You can make sure important birthday cards and presents arrive on time or just send postcards to your friends. And if you over-order at Amazon or ASOS it’s easy to send items back.
