There are several shops conveniently situated here at UEA. The Street is located just off the Square at the heart of our campus. The Street is our very own parade of shops that houses several facilities for ease of everything being close by. On The Street you will find the Shop (SU), a post office, a laundrette, a bank and a Waterstones book shop. All of the essentials are readily available and can be purchased right here on campus.
Our campus shop is located on The Street and stocks a range of food, household, healthcare and miscellaneous goods. We have fresh, frozen and cupboard items, international cuisine, to go food and meal deals and an in house bakery.
We strive to make our service as environmentally friendly as possible. This is being achieved by providing reusable cotton bags for £1, rather than selling plastic ones.
Grab & Go
The Grab & Go shop is located in the Hive and sells food and drink for when you are on the go. We supply a range of snack items, sweets, sandwiches and drinks: you will be spoilt for choice. We have also recently transformed the Grab & Go to have packaging free healthy snacks as well as an Ecover refill station.
We have a Waterstones located at the top of the street. With two floors of books, there is something for everyone. There is an order online service so you can purchase any book available on the Waterstones website and pick it up in store. It’s perfect for finding course books and materials, and proudly stocks a range of novels from previous UEA Graduates such as Ian McEwan and Kazuo Ishiguro.
If you are feeling under the weather and want to speak to a pharmacist or pick up some medication: we have a Boots Pharmacy located next to the UEA Medical Centre on Bluebell Road. Our pharmacy is located beside the Medical Centre and is open to anyone who needs it.
Also located on The Street is a Barclays banking branch. There are several cashpoint ATM’s in and outside the bank that anyone can use. The external cashpoint has accessible audio. Barclays offers a range of services for banking members.
There are four laundrettes spread out across campus. There is one on The Street, one at The Village accommodation, one at the Medical Centre and one at Hickling and Barton accommodation.
All of our laundrettes use the Circuit Managed Laundry Systems. In order to use the washing machines and dryers you will need to get a laundry card and this can be topped up accordingly.
The Laundrettes are open 24/7 for your convenience. You may need a campus card to access the laundrettes in the evenings.
