Medical centre

The UEA Medical Service provides NHS healthcare for UEA students, staff and the local community. When you arrive as a new student you can register with a GP on our website. It is quick and easy: it only takes 5 minutes and you don’t need to download any forms or come into the Medical Centre. Members of the community and staff can register with a GP at the medical centre as well.

To contact us you can call 01603 251600. For further information please visit our website. When the Medical Centre is closed you can call 111 for advice relating to your medical needs. In an emergency you should call 999.

Dental practice

Our dental practice provides NHS dental care for students and staff. The UEA Dental Practice is located on the first floor of the Medical Centre on Bluebell Bluebell Road/University Drive. There is a lift inside the Medical Centre for accessibility purposes. If you require assistance to access treatment, the on duty receptionist will be happy to help you.

In order to join the practice, all you need is your University Campus Card and NHS medical number. You don’t need to see your GP first if you need to see the dentist, as long as you have an NHS number. You will need to give us your details before you can make an appointment. Emergency dental appointments are also available.

Please note that registration for the dentist is completely separate to the UEA Medical Centre.

For further information, please telephone 01603 592173.
