UEA Award

The UEA Award recognises both academic and extra-curricular activities undertaken by students during their time at UEA.

When you study with us, you’ll have lots of opportunities for real-world experiences.

Whether it’s putting what you’ve learnt into practice, enhancing your studies
with a placement or internship, studying abroad or even setting up your own business.

These are a fantastic way to improve your skills, gain real life work experience and build valuable contacts.
At UEA, you’ll have access to a range of local, national and global potential employers that offer a placement year, and we’ll help
you find the right opportunity for you. The UEA Internship Programme will boost your workplace confidence, and challenge
you to apply your skills to exciting, innovative live projects in a range of sectors. It’s also a great opportunity to find paid, part-time
opportunities while you study, as well as part-time and full-time opportunities during the holidays.

Put yourself one step ahead of fellow graduates by spending a year in industry. You will gain valuable work experience and have the chance to
build your professional skills and confidence. In today’s competitive job market relevant work experience is a great advantage.
A year in industry will not only give you first-hand knowledge of the way in which your chosen field operates, it will also
greatly improve your chances of progressing within that sector as you gain valuable contacts and insight.
