ARIES is also funded by the Natural Environment Research Council and builds upon the success of its forerunner, EnvEast. Led by UEA, ARIES also comprises research excellence from the Universities of Kent, Essex, Plymouth and Royal Holloway University of London. Students may also be hosted at 9 world-leading Research Centres, and work with other 40 other collaborative partners.
ARIES research tackles virtually every possible discipline represented within the remit of NERC and provides opportunities for students to engage with truly interdisciplinary research. Undertaking an ARIES PhD studentship provides a gateway to make outstanding contributions to your discipline and apply your knowledge to the critical challenges facing the global environment.
EnvEast, ARIES, and the Cambridge University Earth Systems Science (ESS) DTP have an alliance known as CEEDA (Cambridge-EnvEast Doctoral Alliance), which enhances the training and networking opportunities for our research students through joint events and symposia.
Further information including deadlines, eligibility can be found on the ARIES DTP pages
