Optional modules are co-taught with the Executive MBA students and that provides you with extensive learning and networking opportunities.
Whilst the University will make every effort to offer the modules listed, changes may sometimes be made arising from the annual monitoring, review and update of modules. Where this activity leads to significant (but not minor) changes to programmes and their constituent modules, the University will endeavour to consult with students and others. It is also possible that the University may not be able to offer a module for reasons outside of its control, such as the illness of a member of staff. In some cases optional modules can have limited places available and so you may be asked to make additional module choices in the event you do not gain a place on your first choice. Where this is the case, the University will inform students.
Teaching and Learning
Our teaching emphasises real-world learning, using case studies and practical challenges to bring business concepts to life. You'll develop the strategic knowledge and skills needed to lead organisations, influence change, and respond to complex business challenges. A key focus of the MBA is helping you connect ideas from across different business disciplines and apply them to real-world situations. You'll build expertise across core areas of business before bringing your learning together through consultancy projects and applied problem-solving.
Assessment
You'll be assessed through a range of methods, including coursework, examinations, professional discussions, presentations, and written reports. Many assessments focus on applying theory to real business situations, helping you demonstrate practical problem-solving and decision-making skills. You'll work both independently and collaboratively, reflecting the realities of leadership and management in professional environments. This varied approach helps you develop the analytical, communication, and teamwork skills valued by employers.
