Your University Questions, Answered.

What can I do in Norwich? Tomoko, Tokyo

Our Answer:

Norwich has a loyal fan base, and that's not just for the football team! It's a vibrant, historic, cultural city, offering a good quality of life, surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside and coastline. Also voted recently as one of Britain's Top 10 best cities!

Nothing is too far away, including London (less than 2 hours by train), so you never need to venture too far. We even have our own airport.

If your calendar isn't already full up with UEA campus events, Norwich and the county of Norfolk have plenty of other things to offer such as:

Museums, galleries, theatres, a castle, National Trust and English Heritage properties

Days out

Theme parks, zoos, beaches, the Norfolk Broads (boat trips), woodland walks and nature reserves

Sports and Fitness

Sports centres, swimming pools, go-karting, tree-top zip trekking, paintballing, a dry ski slope

Cinemas, festivals, comedy nights, a casino, greyhound racing

Independent and big brand shopping, spas, cafes, a historic market, parks

Pubs, bars, nightclubs, live music venues, restaurants

Our student bloggers often write enthusiastically about Norwich  -

'There are so many cute little tearooms and restaurants dotted around Norwich that I’m yet to have a chance to try them all out – and I’ve been here for over a year and a half!' - Maisie
