Your University Questions, Answered.

What can I do on campus? Samuel, Basingstoke

Our Answer:

Our campus is your oyster! In fact, we have heard it said that during your first year, you really don't need to leave campus at all (although we wouldn't advise this).

As well as an assortment of cafes and eateries, there's bars and a large music venue (the LCR).

There are a wide range of official UEA events - anything from film screenings to classical music events, literature, politics and the arts - as well as a world renowned arts gallery on campus – the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts

For those with a more active disposition, you can take advantage of the fact that UEA is set in parkland. Take a stroll round the lake, or explore the wildlife walks on campus - Georgia, one of our lovely students, has written about this in her blog

UEA is also home to the Sportspark, one of the largest indoor sports facilities in the UK, offering everything from an olympic size swimming pool, running track, climbing wall, gymnastic arena and fully-equipped fitness centre.

What's more, there are over 200 student-led clubs and societies here at UEA. You can join any of these and take part in anything from rock climbing or rowing to cheerleading or the art society -  there are so many opportunities to get involved with on campus!

And one last thing - there's also lots to do when you venture out into Norwich and the surrounding area. Follow our students in this video to find out what they got up to.
