Your University Questions, Answered.

When will we be told which type of accommodation we are in? Chloe, Herne Bay

Our Answer:

We know that where you are going to live at uni is a very important thing, and this is why we try and let you know as soon as possible about campus accommodation.

When you find out will vary, depending on whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, and what kind of offer you have with us.

If you have an unconditional offer for September, or you have deferred your entry, we will start room allocations in the June before you start. You will be send information about where you’ll be living soon after this.

If you have a Conditional offer, and you have made us your Firm choice, you’ll be allocated a room as soon as you have your exam results and we have made you an Unconditional offer (we know you are definitely coming to us!).

We also have a limited amount of accommodation for Postgraduate students, and these rooms are allocated in August.

Of course we can only allocate you a room if you have completed your Accommodation Preference Form – this is sent out by email to all offer holders who have made us their Firm choice. This is sent out in early spring each year – so keep an eye on your inbox!

We have a range of accommodation to choose from on campus – take a look on our Accommodation website. The video above also gives you an idea of life on campus and living in student residence.
