UEA is a campus university, just 4 miles away from Norwich city centre. Located in the heart of Norfolk, we’re 2 hours from London and central England and easily accessible by road and rail.
Buses and Coaches
Firstbus operate direct services to Norwich city centre in under 15 minutes. Buses leave every 7 minutes and there’s a big student discount on season tickets.
Megabus and National Express coaches serve UEA directly – without the hassle of having to change buses. We have direct links to London, all major London airports and eastern England. Use can also your student discount on most fares so you can keep your travel costs down and explore more.
We’ve recently upgraded cycle paths across UEA so they’re more visible and easier to use. We have 3,600 cycle parking spots as well as secure options so there’s plenty of space for you and your bike.
Don’t have your own bike? Norwich has joined the self-serve cycle hire revolution and there are several free access schemes you can sign up for.

- Park & Ride – Free service links UEA to Costessey Park and Ride. Great if you’re a home student or you’re visiting on an Open Day.
- Cycling – There’s parking for 3,600 bikes and secure storage too.

We’re dedicated to making our campus as accessible as possible and we’re continually investing in new projects. We have disabled parking spaces right across campus for blue badge holders so you can get to where you need to be. The University has clearly marked paths across campus to help you find your way.
