Hussan

Hey, my name is Marrium and I am the International Students Ambassador for Pakistan!

I am in my second year of doctoral studies at Norwich Medical School, UEA. The reason I opted to study abroad is because I wanted to experience cultural diversity, independence, professional growth and above all, experience a world-class research environment, which I can have all in one place at UEA. The main attraction behind choosing UK and UEA is the topmost scientific experts in the area of Nutrition and Preventive Medicine; and the amazing research reputation of the University, which ranks highly around the world in terms of research citations, which is pretty amazing!

Let me tell you about the CareerCentral platform at UEA, which helps students understand how their talents and abilities can fit the wider world. I see this fascinating that I have the opportunity to talk to some career specialists who can help me prepare for my dream jobs and introduce me to other possible opportunities!

I can never imagine of getting bored on campus because there is literally a lot to do. Whether it is hanging out with friends, exploring the SportsPark, looking for a 24/7 calm place to study, want some me-time to walk along the stunning lake that we have on campus. UEA has got it all covered!

Of all the amazing reasons, I can’t ignore the weather here at Norwich! Being a nature lover, I am finding this place so lovely which is a lot lively especially in spring and little rain showers always add a cherry on the top!

All these things truly make me feel like home!
