Emily - one of our German students

Hello, I am Emily. I'm a second-year Business Management student at Norwich Business School, here at UEA.

I knew I wanted to study in England (my dad is English), but I seemed to know nothing about the universities and how life there would be. Luckily, I got to UEA! My life for the past year and a half has been amazing. I have met a lot of new friends, get to live in a beautiful city, and the support system and course are amazing.

Arriving at university, I realised that it was not only about the studies, but also meeting new people and socialising. UEA is the perfect place, with its clubs and societies to get to know people with the same interests as you and make new friends.

It’s not easy being away from home but studying abroad is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. You get to experience great things and meet people from all around the world and for me this is a chance to experience a new chapter of my life, making decisions for myself and working towards my future.

If you have any questions about studying at UEA, you can email european.students@uea.ac.uk.

UEA is home to more than 4,000 students from outside the UK and we welcome students from Germany to join our vibrant community.
