The Secondary PGCE programme will prepare you to teach pupils aged 11–16 with post-16 enhancement in secondary schools.
This is a stimulating, often demanding, but tremendously rewarding age group to work with.
You will be teaching pupils as they mature from early adolescence into adulthood. You will learn to teach your specialist subject and make an effective contribution to the work of your whole school.

Developed in partnership with schools, our Secondary PGCE programme places great emphasis on practical skills and preparing you for the realities of classroom teaching. Throughout your time on the course you will learn to link theory and practice, inspire a love of learning and develop as a reflective classroom practitioner.
