11.20-11.50am	Film & TV Seminar The best film and television content moves us and shapes our understanding of the world. But how does it do so? How do we make sense of film and television and unpick its visible (and sometimes hidden) meanings? 11.55am–12.25pm	Media Seminar We live in a media world: media technologies permeate every aspect of our culture and affect how we see society. Yet, media is often taken for granted and its impact is under considered. In this session, led by an academic expert in Media Studies, you will explore why media matters and how to make sense of it. 12.30–12.45pm	Media Heaven or Media Hell? This plenary session allows you to discuss an issue that is at the heart of all study in FTM: how do we evaluate the product? Your views matter, and here is a forum where you can express them.	Media and Music Building, Room 0.28	Applicant
