A Taste of Engineering (General and Mechanical)

Structural Optimisation: is it worth its weight?

Applicants will use industry standard computer aided design and static structural analysis software to create the lightest bracket possible that can survive a pre-defined applied load. Applicants' designs will then be manufactured using a laser cutter and tested in laboratory conditions to assess the accuracy of the computer simulation.

Please note that this activity is only for Saturday 14 February. For future events there will be new activities which are all detailed within the booking pages.
