Natalia

My name is Mariana and I am the International Ambassador for Latin America.

First I researched the best development schools and then I looked at the programmes. I loved the UEA masters programme because it had subjects related to education and the media for development.

I found the application to be great and I didn’t have any problems. Everything was easy and the Admission’s team was always there with an answer in case I needed one! I actually was awarded an automatic scholarship without having to apply and that recognition made me feel great!

I loved my first impression of Norwich, It was so different from Mexico that it was like living in a fairy tale. I live really close to the city centre so I have been able to go almost every day (in normal days) to pubs or restaurants. I love that we have almost every kind of food here and that’s something I never experimented with in Mexico. The gym is so cheap and I love that. In addition, I love the fact that you can go everywhere on your bike!

I was super excited when I first got to UEA! A dream finally came true and the first thing I wanted to do was to have one picture at the Ziggurats.

I love my international development course, and in the first class I had learned so much. I love the diversity of opinions that one can have in the classroom and this is something I have always wanted.

If I could give any advice to students considering UEA I’d say just Do it! I think that considering the circumstances, the response of UEA has been amazing and Norwich hasn’t been affected that badly by the pandemic. My advice is to look at the courses and the teachers, they are so easy going and are excellent teachers.
