Information event for Access to HE students

Join us on campus for a free Access to HE Event

This event is designed specifically for students who are currently completing an Access to Higher Education Diploma. Join us on campus to learn about university services, experience an academic taster session, and gain valuable insight into life as a mature student.

Our next Access to HE event will be in autumn 2026.

This is not a recruitment event. Instead, it aims to give you a flavour of mature student life in a university setting to help you with informed decision making. We would love for you to bring your curiosity and learn more about how universities support diverse groups of students.

UEA staff and students will be on hand to help you prepare for navigating university and balancing your studies alongside existing commitments.

Academic taster session

We will ask you what subjects you're interested in, so we can allocate you to a workshop that aligns with your interests. These workshops are designed to give you a taste of a classroom setting at university, and not a specific subject insight. To learn more about studying your specific subject at university, we would recommend you attend a university open day.

You can find out about UEA’s Open Days for specific subject insight and do the same for any university you’re considering applying to.

We will contact you soon after the signup deadline to confirm workshop allocations.

What happens after you sign up? 

After you complete the registration form, you will receive an email to confirm that it has been received. If you highlight a reasonable adjustment requirement, we will be in touch to ensure a comfortable visit. Otherwise, notifications of workshops and joining information will be emailed shortly after the signup deadline.

Who is this event for? 

This event is aimed at students who are studying an Access to Higher Education Diploma, either online or at a further education college.
