Campus Tours

Campus Tours give you the opportunity to explore our campus and accommodation in small groups, the experience is tailored to you. Tours are run by current students, so you can ask questions and get real insight into what it's like to study and live at UEA.

Campus Tours start between 11:30am and 12:15pm.

Mini Open Days

Mini Open Days are shorter than a full Open Day and offer a general overview of UEA life, but don’t include subject-specific content.

You can hear talks about student life, meet students and staff, and tour our campus and student residences, with time to explore and get a feel for the campus and city.

Whether you’re considering undergraduate or postgraduate studies, a Mini Open Day is the perfect way for you – and your family and supporters – to find out more about life at UEA.

Mini Open Days start at 11:30am finish by 3pm. Last tours depart at 2pm.

Medical teaching facilities:

Please note that our Campus Tours and Mini Open Days do not normally include medical teaching facilities in the Edith Cavell Building or (ECB) or Bob Champion Research and Education Building (BCRE). However we can arrange this if you let us know in advance, just email us at recruitmentevents@uea.ac.uk

Self-guided tours

If you would like to visit campus at another time and have a wander at your own pace, you also can also use our self-guided campus tour which suggests a route around campus to see a range of teaching buildings, facilities and accommodation.

We encourage you to take a look at our other upcoming Mini Open Days and Campus Tours and book onto a new date that suits you. If you are unable to find an alternative date, please email us and we will assist in finding you an event that suits your needs and availability.

Campus Tour and Mini Open Days events both feature tours delivered by our current students.

For a Campus Tour event, you’ll be allocated a student ambassador to lead your tour when you arrive.

On a Mini Open Day, you’ll be able to start your tour any time between 11.30am and 2pm, allowing you to structure your visit around our talks.

Your student ambassador will take you around campus to see our central facilities, teaching buildings for the subjects you're interested in and our student accommodation blocks. Your tour will be in a small group so we can tailor the experience to what you would like to see.

Note that our tours do not normally include medical teaching facilities in the Edith Cavell Building or (ECB) or Bob Champion Research and Education Building (BCRE). We can arrange this if you let us know in advance – just email us at recruitmentevents@uea.ac.uk.

Tours last approximately  60 minutes but there is no set time limit. As campus tours are taken in small groups, what you see and how long it takes can be tailored to you.

On Campus Tour days, we’ll start tours between 11.30am and 12.15pm.

For our Mini Open Days, you can arrive any time after 11.30am and before 2pm. You’ll be emailed a schedule when you register, which you can use to help you plan your visit.

When you book onto one of our events, we will email you with instructions on what to do when you arrive.

You can park on campus, in our main car park, for free during Campus Tours and Mini Open Days. If the barriers are down, please take a yellow token from the barrier gate and one of our team will validate it for you.

You are more than welcome to bring guests with you. If you are bringing children, please ensure they are accompanied by an appropriate adult who carries full responsibility for the child during the visit.

A Mini Open Day is perfect for you if you can’t make it to a full Open Day. You’ll be able to attend talks on student life, finance and accommodation, and take a guided tour of our campus, facilities and student residences. Mini Open Days offer a general overview of UEA life and don’t include scheduled subject-specific content, although there may be a chance to chat with academic staff.

If you are not able to attend one of our events, you can take our self-guided tour and explore the campus in your own time.

Some people are eligible for financial assistance to travel to one of our events, to find out more information please visit our Travel Fund page.
Campus Tours and Mini Open Days are smaller experiences, suitable for those who would like to look around campus in a quieter setting. Mini Open Days also offer the chance to learn more about the central services provided to all students at UEA, through talks and information stands. There are not normally any scheduled subject-related activities on Campus Tours or Mini Open Days.
