What was your job role and location before you joined and what is your job role / location now?
My job role before I joined the MBA program was Business Development Manager, Project Finance and Public Sector Unit at National Bank of Malawi. My current job role is Chief Operating Officer at NBM Development Bank Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of National Bank of Malawi.
Why did you join the UEA MBA programme?
For me to move to the next level of leadership positions within the Bank where I work or indeed anywhere in the world, a needed a world class qualification

What has been the most valuable thing you have learnt from your MBA at UEA which has helped you post study?
The whole program taught me how to manage stress, challenge myself and be resilient in the face of work pressure. Above all, the consultancy projects brought everything I had learnt on the MBA course into perspective and I think the leadership, strategy and corporate finance courses were just excellent.
How did the MBA change your life personally and professionally?
The MBA program has made me a more confident and knowledgeable individual and the learning experience from friends and course tutors has been invaluable. It is indeed a life changing experience and personal belief gained from attending the program has been very instrumental in setting up the development bank from concept to implementation
What advice do you have for those who are joining the programme?
Its all up to you! You can attend the course and come out the same or you can attend the course and come out very knowledgeable, confident and hence boost your career prospects. One needs to work hard, read widely and a lot and learn as much as possible from others.
