The University of East Anglia would like to invite all language teachers in Norfolk and Suffolk to the next Language Teachers’ Network meeting. The event will be hosted by our School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies.
We would like to invite you to come and meet colleagues teaching languages at both secondary schools and UEA to share experiences and discuss keys issues facing the recruitment and retention of students studying languages across the whole student lifecycle. UEA is committed to supporting and promoting languages at secondary level.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday 5 November and will comprise of three sessions. Firstly, a short overview of the UEA Languages Summer School, which was held for the first time this summer for students in Years 10 to 12. The second session will be led by the School of Education and will focus on how best to implement the curriculum changes in the classroom. The third session will be separated into French, Spanish, and German, for an immersion discussion in the target language on different issues related to the curriculum changes.
