West London Mental Health NHS Trust is one of the largest mental health services in England. We treat and support around 63,000 people a year, serving a local population of almost 700,000 residents.

We provide a comprehensive range of mental health care services to adults, children and older people across three diverse and complex London boroughs: Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham.

We employ around 3,400 staff across 25 locations, treating people across the entire mental health spectrum - from common conditions such as depression and anxiety to more severe and complex disorders which require intensive treatment.

Our services are based on the recovery model, which means that we look at the whole person and explore every opportunity to help people take control of their own lives and achieve the goals that matter to them.

The Trust has recently developed to provide a number of physical health services, including:

  • Home ward – An integrated, intermediate care service which helps to prevent hospital admissions.
  • One You Ealing – A lifestyle change programme that aims to get people active, eating well and taking care of their own wellbeing.

We are partners in the Institute of Mental Health with Bucks New University and also have strong research links with Imperial College and other universities.

Our dementia research, in particular, is leading the way in finding new treatments for this life-altering condition.
