Celebrate 50 years of UEA Film with a month-long season at the British Film Institute’s Reuben Library.
Reading Ealing Studios changed Professor Melanie Williams’ life. Here, she revisits Charles Barr’s foundational book Ealing Studios, first published in 1977 as Charles began his UEA BFI lectureship. Her talk will engage with the legacy of Barr’s milestone publication, the debates it has instigated, and look at how changing perspectives on Ealing films have shifted since 1977.
More information on ticketing and booking available from 16 Sept.
