Speech and Language Therapy Clinic

UEA Adult Speech and Language Therapy Community Clinic

The UEA Neurological Speech and Language Therapy Community Clinic supports people living with acquired neurological conditions by providing assessment and therapy.

Speech and Language Therapy takes place in Queen’s Building at the University of East Anglia or online. Sessions are delivered by speech and language therapy students and supervised by qualified clinicians and researchers.

Clinic Structure

Participants attend twice weekly speech and language therapy sessions for four weeks, led by students who create an individual treatment plan with each person.

Who can attend?

We welcome adults with the following conditions:

  • Stroke

  • Traumatic brain injury

  • Parkinson’s Disease

  • Motor Neurone Disease

  • Voice Disorder

What we offer

  • Small group and individual speech and language therapy

  • Patient-centred treatment plans

  • Assessment and therapy

  • Supervision from experienced clinicians and researchers

Our vision

We aim to create an accessible space where people with neurological conditions can benefit from high-quality speech and language therapy and the supportive environment of a teaching clinic. By bringing together patients, students, clinicians and industry partners, we work to improve independence, confidence and recovery while helping train the next generation of speech and language therapists.
