We have a strong international reputation for our research, and students are taught by leading experts in a broad range of topics in mathematics.

We have active research links and co-operation with mathematicians in the rest of Europe, Russia, the United States, Asia, and Australia, and a specialised library housed in our graduate common room, as well as a well-equipped computing laboratory. We have regular research seminars with external speakers, as well as more informal study groups.

You will be encouraged to present your research to national and international audiences, and publish your findings in world renowned journals.
