UEA LAW Visiting Researchers Programme

Law Students in a Seminar Session

UEA Law School invites external researchers to join our vibrant academic community through our short-term visiting researcher programme.

Based in the historic and stunning Earlham Hall, our school offers an inspiring environment that blends rich heritage with a forward-thinking research culture. During your stay, you will be fully integrated into our scholarly life, gaining access to dedicated desk space, comprehensive IT and library resources, and the opportunity to engage with our diverse range of research clusters and seminars.

Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to explore the individual webpages of our academic staff to learn more about the breadth and depth of research interests within the School. We also invite applicants to familiarise themselves with our key research groups, including those focused on international law, social justice, and technology and intellectual property law, as well as our extensive research in competition law through the Centre for Competition Policy (CCP). This will help applicants identify potential synergies and ensure a well-aligned and productive visit.

To begin the application process, interested researchers should first identify and approach a potential host within the Law School whose expertise aligns with their own research interests. Establishing this initial connection is essential to ensuring a mutually beneficial visit. Once a host has expressed interest in supporting the stay, both the applicant and the host should contact the Law School Research Director for further information regarding the formal application and logistics.
