In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), 75% of our research activity was rated as internationally recognised or excellent and 20% rated as world-leading.

Our student facilities are excellent, with six general purpose computing labs, a specialised computer graphics lab (with haptic feedback devices) and an electronics hardware lab. We are particularly proud of the new Apple Macintosh Lab which contains iMacs, iPads and iPod touch devices for our undergraduate and postgraduate students.
