UEA's distinctive architecture was created by Denys Lasdun in the 1960s and its campus is surrounded by over 300 acres (121ha) of beautiful parkland, where staff and students welcome the chance to watch the wildlife and enjoy the fresh air by the quiet waters of the broad. The Library offers over 800,000 books and journals and is open 24/7 all year round. The impressive Sportspark has facilities for swimming, gym, athletics, racquet sports, climbing, soccer and more. The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts is an inspirational museum housing work by artists including Henry Moore and Francis Bacon, art from around the world and prestigious exhibitions.
