Having an impact on the world beyond academia has always been at the heart of our research aims and is celebrated locally through our annual Innovation and Impact Awards.
UEA runs strategic innovation and impact funding streams and has been successful in previously being awarded NERC, ESRC and BBSRC Impact Acceleration Account (IAA) funding, as well as a Global Research Translation Award (GRTA). In 2022, UEA secured MRC and AHRC IAA awards.
The strength of our research and its real-world application is demonstrated through UEA’s high scoring impact case studies in the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
