The EML is a state-of-the-art centre bringing together chemistry, physics, environmental science and biology to address the energy needs of the 21st century.
By combining expertise from a number of research fields, the EML is tackling problems including artificial photosynthesis, hydrogen production and storage, solar energy capture using nanoparticles and exploiting enzymes for energy transfer. As well as the strong physical base in Norwich, the EML is actively involved in the SolarCAP and SuperGen projects, which enable us to connect with an even wider group of scientists throughout the UK.
