Mentoring
The UEA Mentoring Programme puts our students in contact with professionals at various stages of their career. Through a one-off 30–45 minute conversation to a six-month mentoring relationship, our mentors share their insights and experiences of a range of sectors, answering your questions, offering advice and helping you consider and build your own career plans.
Careers events
Our programme of careers events includes employer and alumni discussion panels tailored to sectors or study disciplines, and offering insights into potential career paths and inspiration based on the journeys of UEA alumni. And our annual careers fairs bring employers to the UEA campus to meet our student and graduate talent, and provide you with an excellent opportunity for developing networking skills, gaining insider insights and making useful connections.
Placements and internships
Placements and internships are a fantastic way to gain career insight, explore specific roles or sectors, and further develop learning and skills from your course. They may even result in the offer of longer-term employment.
We work with local, national and global employers to ensure our students and recent graduates have access to the latest placements and internships across a range of sectors. Our careers experts are on hand to help students find the right opportunities for them, make successful applications and get the most from their experience.
