Starting University can often mean managing your finances for the first time.

At UEA we have a dedicated team of advisers in the Student Journey and Support Services team who offer confidential, non-judgemental advice about your finances. You can seek support via email correspondence and/or one-to-one appointments. Once you study here, you’ll also have access to this team and the financial support available via UEA’s internal website, My.UEA, and the Blackboard Student Services hub.

Our advisers offer help with areas such as Student Finance loans and funding, budgeting and practical money management, including debt concerns and any financial implications of changing a course or taking a break in studies. It is really important that you plan your finances carefully before starting your studies, however, we recognise that unexpected financial challenges can arise. Our advisers also administer some sources of direct financial support for eligible students faced with significant financial challenges whilst studying at UEA.
