The Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Cultures (SISJAC) is supporting fully funded places for the Japan Orientation programme

Eligibility

  • Level: Undergraduate
  • Nationality: All (apart from those eligible for the TIFO Scholarship)

What does it cover?

  • Full programme tuition
  • Return airport transfers
  • Accommodation
  • Off campus study trips
  • Social programme
  • Some catering during social activities and field trips
  • Two week bus pass
  • Up to £250 reimbursement of travel costs

How do I apply?

Please note that you must submit a Summer Study at UEA application before applying for a scholarship in order to receive your UEA reference number. 

  • Scholarship application deadline: The deadline for applications is 31 March 2019.

Terms and Conditions

By submitting this Application you are agreeing to notify the University should your circumstances change after a Scholarship place has been offered by the University and accepted by you, to enable other reserve Scholarship applicants to take advantage of the limited Scholarship places. Awarded scholars withdrawing from the programme may not be permitted to apply for subsequent scholarships. 

Scholarship applications will be judged on the basis of the supporting statement and we may also take into account academic merit and information provided in your application. The University’s decision is final. 

Scholarship Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 17 April 2019. Awarded Scholars are responsible for organising their own travel to and from the UK and associated visa, medical and travel insurance costs.
