Orientation
There will be a number of informative, academic, and social events taking place during the first few weeks after your arrival. These will be run by the Study Abroad Office, the Student Life Team, the Student Union, and the individual subject schools.
Our advised September 2024 arrivals dates correspond to arrivals activities and support:
Wednesday 11 September – Friday 13 September: International Orientation Activity
Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September: Arrivals Weekend
Monday 16 - Friday 20 September: Welcome Week
Monday 23 September: Classes start
Arriving over the International Orientation dates will mean we have more staff available to assist you with your arrival and that you will be on campus ahead of registration for your course.
Our Orientation programme is released during the summer for September starters and December for January starters. Students will be sent details once they're finalised.
Social media
We manage a closed Facebook group for Visiting Study Abroad Students, which we'll invite you to once we’ve received your nomination. If you apply independently please get in touch with us to receive an invitation. This will be an opportunity to meet your fellow students before you arrive, as well as a place where we can post interesting opportunities in the UK as they arise.
