Funding opportunity for 4-year PhD studentships
Based on mutual research interests, UEA has established a partnership with the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), based in Shenzhen, China. As part of this collaboration, 4-year funded studentships supporting joint research projects through the UEA-SUSTech Split-Site PhD Programme are available. Students registered to this programme will carry out research at both UEA (Norwich, UK), and SUSTech (Shenzhen, China).
- To be considered for funding under this programme, applicants must meet UEA’s entry requirements for postgraduate research degrees.
- Funding for the cohort starting in October 2019 is only available to Chinese citizens.
For projects starting in October 2019, funding applications must be submitted to SUSTech by 30 November 2018 (please visit the SUSTech website for full details on the applications process). Applicants securing funding from SUSTech will then be invited to apply to UEA.
Before submitting an application, candidates must contact a potential UEA supervisor to discuss a project suitable for the UEA-SUSTech Split-Site PhD Programme.
