A 2020 Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI) report suggests that, six months after graduation, postgraduates earn on average 18% more than people with just undergraduate degrees.
Furthermore, analysis of government data shows that students who choose to learn more, earn more through their lifetime. The analysis carried out by Universities UK states that graduate earnings in the UK increase at a faster rate than those of non-graduates, despite having fewer years in the labour market, and this difference is sustained throughout their careers. Most graduates (undergraduate and postgraduate) will rapidly catch up with and overtake those without a degree.

Our Postgraduate Students’ Union organise regular postgraduate-only events for you to get to know fellow postgrads from all over the world. They can also give you any support and advice you need.
You can find spaces just for postgraduate students on campus, including The Scholar’s Bar and a separate, quiet postgraduate study space in the Library. You’ll be surrounded by excellent facilities, state-of-the-art research labs and world-class academics to enhance your studies and help you take your next steps.

UEA Student & Alumni: Discounts and Scholarships
As a current UEA student, you could be eligible to benefit from a fantastic 30% continuation scholarship if you graduate with a first class degree. If you don’t achieve a first, don’t worry! You could still receive the 10% Alumni Tuition Fee Discount to continue your studies at UEA.
