Finishing a course at UEA doesn’t have to mean it’s time to stop studying. As long as you can follow the rules about time limits, academic progression and the financial requirements to support yourself and pay your fees, you can apply for a new course either here at UEA or another institution while still being in the UK.
There are lots of great opportunities right here at UEA for you to continue your studies, you can look for Master’s courses or explore the research opportunities at the university. Why not have a talk with your supervisor or Academic Advisor to discuss where you can take your studies next?
When you have finished your course, you will have a “wrap up period” added on to the end of your visa. You can use this time to decide what to do next and either apply for a new visa or return home. You can find more information on how long your wrap up period will be on our Visa Start and End Dates webpage.
Remember to check the academic progression rules to see if you can apply in the UK, or if you will have to return home to make your application.
If you have any questions about courses, please talk to your Learning and Teaching Service Programme team or your Academic Adviser. If you have any questions about your next visa, then please contact Student Life International.
You can also find plenty of information about Student visas on the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) website.
