Accepted qualifications

  • We welcome applications from students with a range of qualifications, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Irish Leaving Certificate.

     

    A level IB Irish Leaving Certificate
    A*AA 35 6 subjects at H2
    AAA 34 6 subjects at H2
    AAB 33 4 subjects at H2, 2 subjects at H3
    ABB 32 3 subjects at H2, 3 subjects at H3
    BBB 31 2 subjects at H2, 4 subjects at H3

     

    These are guidelines only. Our course catalogue details the ‘typical’ offers for most courses – you’ll also need to meet our minimum GCSE (or equivalent) requirements and write a personal statement

  • All applicants must have at least a 2.1 honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study. Entry requirements vary across Schools and courses – please check the details for your specific course.

  • Typically, we ask for at least a 2.1 or Master’s.

    It is normally expected that students wishing to undertake postgraduate research in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities or Social Sciences will hold a relevant Master’s degree.

    Applicants to the Faculty of Science or Medicine and Health Sciences can either have a Master’s degree or a strong Bachelor’s degree, equivalent to UK 2.1 or above.
