Designed for students in Year 12 / Level 3 Year 1, Step Into Business will give you first-hand experience of studying business at university. The aim? To help you make an informed decision about your next steps, and make the choice that's right for you.
What happens?
Step Into Business includes several on-campus events throughout the spring term.
A Day in the Life of a Business Student
Monday 26 January 2026
Spend a day immersing yourself in a real business school environment. You'll join friendly UEA business students and attend undergraduate lectures in marketing, accounting, and finance. You'll also explore our award-winning campus and gain first-hand insight into university life, including extracurricular opportunities.
Content Creation Challenge
Friday 27 February 2026
Join an exciting guest lecture led by teaching influencer @teachertommyt, focusing on content creation strategy. Then you'll put your skills to the test in a collaborative, panel-judged group task that reflects university-style business assessments.
Career Connections
Early March 2026, exact date TBC
You'll have the opportunity to meet with several employers and discover diverse career options. Sharpen your professional network and gain insight into a wide range of opportunities beyond a degree in business.
Who is it for?
Step Into Business is for students in Year 12 or Level 3 Year 1. You should be considering studying business at university, but you don't need to be certain about your next steps. You also don't need to be planning to study at UEA.
When allocating places, priority will be given to students who meet one or more of our eligibility criteria. You can find the full eligibility criteria below.
