Why should you take part? 

Interviews can be a daunting part of the medicine application process. That's why Interview Success: Medicine is designed to ease anxiety and equip you with tried and tested interview techniques. Current UEA medical students who have been through the process will share their top tips and provide individual feedback. The best part? It's all completely free.

By taking part in a mock interview session, you will: 

• Learn more about the Medicine interview process

• Get valuable practice by taking part in a mock interview 

• Receive individual feedback on your mock interview responses from current medical students

• Learn techniques to help you shine in your Medicine interviews 

• Learn how to approach future interviews with confidence

When does this event take place?

Mock interview sessions are available in the autumn term, with limited spaces available. Here are the session dates and times:

• Saturday 31 October, morning (apply by 10 October)

• Saturday 31 October, afternoon (apply by 10 October)

• Wednesday 4 November, evening (apply by 14 October)

• Wednesday 11 November, evening (apply by 21 October)

Please note: you will only need to attend one session. The application form asks you to select the sessions you are available to attend, and to confirm your eligibility. If you meet any of the eligibility criteria, your application will be considered.

Applying in 2026 to study Medicine

Here’s an idea of the steps you may need to take when applying to study Medicine:

1. Research medical schools and attend open days. (Funding available, check with the university you are applying to.)

2. Create your UCAT account - May 2026

3. Take your UCAT exam and write your personal statement - July to September 2026

4. Submit your UCAS application by the October 2026 deadline

5. Prepare for Medicine interviews (by taking part in a course like this one!) - October to November 2026

6. Attend your interviews - November 2026 to March 2027

7. Receive offers and decide where to study - December 2026 to April 2027
