It’s never too early to start thinking about university. That's why we work with students from Year 5 to Year 11, and beyond.
Our pre-16 work with schools is led by our outreach team. We’re committed to widening participation and we work tirelessly to bring opportunities and support to local schools on all things higher education.
Not sure what outreach is? No problem – read on to discover who we are and why we do what we do.
In a nutshell, we’re here to inspire potential go-getters to get up and get going. We do that through a huge range of progressive, multi-touchpoint activities run both at UEA on-campus and in-school.

Our work begins with Future Stars
We believe informed choices make empowered futures. By equipping young people with the information and skills they need, we support them to realise their own aspirations, whatever path they choose.
That work begins in Year 5 with Future Stars. For many pupils in our region, Future Stars will be their very first encounter with higher education. With a combination of in-school workshops and a jam-packed campus visit, we introduce young people to university life and illuminate potential pathways. It's all about inviting children to picture what their future could hold.
